Dr. Ashok Shinde a renowned gynecologist, is the chief doctor, at Vatsalya Hospital Islampur. Dr. Ashok Shinde has passed M.B.B.S. from Government Medical College, Miraj in 2003 .

He did his postgraduation in D.G.O.( Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics.) in 2009 from Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Government Medical college, Kolhapur & D.F.P. in 2011 from Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Government Medical college, Kolhapur.

He has worked as consultant for 4 year in Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Medical College Islampur. He is done training in Sonography under guidance of Dr. Ajit Patil. He has then taken special training in laproscopy at Pune.
